Integral to J&B, Strathmill is rarely bottled as a single malt and this has been the case for most of its life. In fact the first bottling of Strathmill as a single malt was over 100 years after its birth and was a 12 Year Old for the Flora & Fauna series.

Originally a mill as the name suggests, it was converted into a distillery in 1891 and since then has lived a fairly uneventful life going about the business of distilling for blends.

This Strathmill was bottled for The Whisky Barrel to commemorate the 51st anniversary of the Apollo 10 mission where the lunar module called ‘Snoopy’ made history with the first ever lunar landing, this was a dress rehearsal for the Apollo Moon landing that took place 2 months later.
